RED HORNETS REGISTRATION WILL OPEN ON AUGUST 1!

Columbia Volleyball Academy has established a development program tailored to younger players looking to enhance their skills in order to eventually play club volleyball once they reach an appropriate age. The program is tailored for players ages 9-13 but we may accept slightly older players if they have limited experience.  If your child is slightly older please contact us in advance to see if this program will be suitable. If you do not contact us before registering a child who is older than 13, we will refund your registration fee minus the processing fee!

We like for our players in this program to have basic skills (passing, setting & serving) and at least 1 year of recreation volleyball experience. Camp and clinic experience are also acceptable. 

The Red Hornets development program is coached by CVA coaches and Senior players and is a fun learning environment where young athletes can learn more about this great sport, make friends and work on volleyball skills.

This is not a club travel team; but we will have some tournament play towards the end of the season.  There will be plenty of scrimmaging, games and fun contests once the girls get more comfortable.

The Red Hornets Program will meet once a week (Mondays) starting in the middle of November and going until the middle of May.

The cost of the program is $550. There is no credit card fee however, if refunds are requested, they will incur an $18.61 penalty. Cash and checks are not accepted.

Jessie played club volleyball with Columbia for 6 years, and she also played varsity volleyball at Centennial for her four years there. Jessie graduated from Centennial in 2014 and went on to attend the University of Maryland Baltimore County. At UMBC, she pursued her BA in Psychology and was the president of the UMBC Women’s Club Volleyball team for three of her four years there. While at UMBC, Jessie was awarded the 2017-2018 Club Sports Female Athlete of the Year Award. She is currently pursuing her MA in Management of Aging Services at UMBC. This is Jessie’s eigth season coaching club with CVA. At CVA, she has helped coach the 12 Owls and 14 Cardinals, and she will be returning for her fourth year as a head coach of the Red Hornets Program.

Refund Policy – If you register your child(ren) for our Red Hornets volleyball program and then opt for them not to participate, refunds will be granted as follows:

Any refund request received  4 weeks or longer before the start of the program  will be processed with a 10% administrative fee withheld.

Any refund request within 2 weeks of the start of the program will be processed with a 50% administrative fee withheld.

A refund may also be  granted  if you have accepted an offer on one of Columbia Volleyball Club's travel teams. 

Refunds are NOT given once the program has begun unless there is a medically verifiable reason that your child cannot participate.
