CLUB FEES

CVA is constantly emphasizing cost efficiency when planning travel trips to tournaments so club fees do not include travel (lodging) for players or parents. Players stay with parents when traveling which results in a safer, healthier and more cost-effective experience. In addition, as you will see below, club fees do not cover the cost of uniform purchases, equipment (knee pads, spandex shorts, shoes, etc.) or any additional club merchandise.

CVA’s fees are broken down into monthly payments as outlined below.

This year CVA will be accepting credit card payments only through the SportsEngine website. Checks will no longer be accepted. 

Before a player can attend their first practice, they must have made the initial payment and have paid for their uniforms as well. 

FEES FOR 2023-2024

REFUND POLICY-CLUB TEAMS

1. When you accept an offer to participate, you accept the financial obligations for the entire club fee for that season.  When teams are comprised, monies immediately go directly into uniforms, tournament entries, coach salaries, facility rentals and administrative fees.
2. Due to our not for profit status and budget requirements, we do not offer refunds.  Refunds will not be given to athletes who choose not to play because of conflicts, team or coaching assignments, or an individual’s amount of playing time.  Prorated refunds will be considered for athletes who suffer season-ending injuries while playing on a Columbia Volleyball Academy team, on a case-by-case basis with a physician’s letter.  Injuries occurred outside of Columbia Volleyball Academy will be determined for a refund by the CVA Board's discretion.
3. Dues are NON-REFUNDABLE for ANY reason, even in the event that your daughter/son quits, is suspended, dismissed, or injured at any point in the season.
4. If there is any refund, they will be allowed until March 6, prorated, after dues have been paid in full.  Any refund after March 7 will not be allowed.

THE 4 STEPS FOR CVA TRYOUT REGISTRATION

Please follow these 4 steps in order to attend tryouts with The Columbia Volleyball Academy and be considered for one of our teams.

1. Determine your daughter’s correct age classification based on her birth date using the CHRVA Age Classification Chart

2. Register your child with the Chesapeake Region Volleyball Association (CHRVA). 

All players must be registered with USA Volleyball through the CHRVA region to be eligible to participate in tryouts. This is a Chesapeake Region requirement.

It is extremely important that you use the same email address (PARENT email) for both your Sports Engine account and your CHRVA/USA membership account! Please do not have the player register themselves using their own email.

To participate in tryouts, you are able to choose either the Junior Membership (Regular Junior Girls) or the Limited Membership-Junior Tryout 10 days ( limited membership valid ONLY during the tryout season must upgrade to full membership if affiliating with a team):

Junior Memberships (Regular Junior Girls)
The membership cost is $55. Please complete the registration steps. You will know when you are done when a CHRVA card or membership confirmation number is generated.

Remember to print out a copy of your USA Volleyball Membership Card and bring to tryouts.  To do this:

• Login to the SportsEngine site
• Click on "Household" and then click on the player's card
• Print a copy of the card.

3. Complete the Columbia Volleyball Academy tryout registration form and pay the Non-refundable registration fee.  This is not the same fee as your CHRVA membership. This fee pays for our tryout costs such as court time, etc.  Your registration is not considered complete unless you fill out the form and pay the tryout registration fee. The Registration Fee is $55.00 (plus processing fee) if you register before November 1st.  After November 1st, the fee will increase to $60.00 (plus processing fee).

4. Complete a USAV Medical Release form and bring it with you. 

Note:  You must attend our tryout session to be considered for a CVA team.
