Comets Take Gold at the Columbia 18's Season
Opener
The Comets opened their season in impressive fashion,
going undefeated all day to win the Columbia 18's Season Opener at
the Volleyball House, on Saturday, January 15, 2005. Great way
to start the season Ladies! Keep up the good work.
The Comets flash their Gold Medal smiles!
Comets Win Again!
The Comets went undefeated to win the
Columbia 18's Invitational tournament on Jan. 30 in Elkridge. The
Comets swept all opponents in both pool play and the semifinals
before facing Time Out Orange Crush in the tournament
finals. The Comets prevailed, winning the close match in 2 games
(25-21, 25-23), handing Orange Crush their first regional match
loss in three years. The Comets are currently ranked 1st in the
Chesapeake Region with a perfect 22-0 record.

the Comets
Comets Win at Kutztown University
The Comets continued their winning
streak by capturing the gold medal in the February Frolic
volleyball tournament at Kutztown University (PA) on February 5,
2005. The Comets swept the competition, winning all their
matches on the way to the tournament finals. Facing a determined
Kaepa Swoosh team from upstate New York, the Comets decisively won
the gold in 2 games.

Comets Continue Their Winning
Ways
The Columbia Comets continued their
run of Chesapeake Region volleyball tournaments by capturing the
gold medal on March 13, 2005 at the Columbia 17/18 Invitational.
Facing teams from Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia, the Comets
sealed their victory with a decisive 2 game win over the Maryland
Juniors in the tournament finals. This is the fourth gold medal
this season for the Comets who are currently ranked number 1 out
of sixty-one 17's & 18's teams in the Chesapeake Region.
Comets Soar Twice in 2 weeks!
The Comets won the gold once again at the "Judgement
Day 2005" tournament in Easton, PA at the Forks township
Community Center. The Comets came out on top in pool play and won
the gold in the finals. Congratulations Comets!
Despite playing shorthanded, the Comets won the
gold once again at the SMJ 17/18 Open in Chaneyville, MD. The
Comets were undefeated in pool play and won the gold by defeating
Time Out's Black Attack. Way to go, Comets!

As a reminder, the Comets regularly scheduled practice days are
Tuesdays from 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm, Thursdays from 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm, and Sundays from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
